MelloFit Labs was created primarily to build awareness around the mind body connection and healthy living. The blog posts are designed to help people who struggle with beginning and/or maintaining those essential habits that lead to a long and happy healthy life. By experiencing the blog, we hope people will develop that awareness that tells them what to do next, either with us, a community partner or all on their own.

Our blog is a window into our values. We use this opportunity to talk about the specific issues that we would discuss within a counseling or coaching session. The blog has three broad categories. Awareness – Health Essentials – Escape Velocity. They cover:
Awareness of your fears and the roadblocks that get in your way. It prompts discussion about your anxieties and your purpose. These are important to recognize.
Health Essentials educate you about sleep, nutrition, and exercise. As these improve so does your awareness about how it impacts your mood. An improved mood reinforces adherence to the habits you develop here.
Escape Velocity is all about building momentum to build habits that last a lifetime. We look at strategies to make these habits automatic.
Each blog post includes an audio file to listen to if you’re not keen on reading and other goodies to improve your chances of sticking to your goals.

You talk a lot about tracking. What do you track?
Here at MelloFit Labs we believe what gets tracked gets improved. Deciding what specifically to track and doing it consistently can be challenging. What we recommend to track is focused on a narrow set of sleep, nutrition and training metrics that promote energy, recovery, and the building of muscle. Looking good is an important outcome for us.- Do I have to buy a fitness tracker?
It’s an incredibly useful tool if you are serious about making changes. It’s not something you will need right away. - Do you track bloodwork?
Tracking bloodwork is an important way to measure progress. It tells you to continue what you’re doing or change course. We are developing a network of health care professionals that work with us to facilitate the process of ordering bloodwork and tracking it. We can help you track all this information using our own software or you can track it on our own.
